Some theatre each day keeps the doctor away…

As You Like It

Saw As You Like It tonight with Bell Shakespeare.  Okay.  Not sure it was worth the palaver.

Read on Wikipedia that Adam was supposedly played by Shakespeare, although it is thought to be an apocryphal story.  But didn’t that just tickle the fancy.

Why do we so rarely diagnose the cause for good as we do the cause for evil?  I guess because virtue makes for lacklustre drama.  Well, Clarissa was dramatic, but she was surrounded by vice.

Is all Shakespeare as good as an expertly spoken speech such as the seven ages of man?  When the famous line comes upon the ear, the mind focuses and magnifies the effect, methinks.  If only there were better concentration to be had in this shifting time of ours.  Now excuse me dear reader, I have to sharpen my intellect on something else.
