Some theatre each day keeps the doctor away…

Brahms 4 and Steven Isserlis

Saw Brahms 4 and Steven Isserlis tonight with the ACO.  Ahh.  Music, out of all the artforms, methinks, is the only one that can give physical pleasure.

I’m so very tired at such a relatively early hour tonight, and I don’t know why.

If Catton manages to keep up the constant revelations about the circumstances surrounding the event in her book, all the way to the end, then I’d be more impressed, probably, than I have been of most books.  I doubt she will, though; I think she will switch it up and some point.  But wouldn’t that be something?  900 pages of constant revelation.  (Then again, you say, what is plot but constant revelation?  That’s not what I mean, though.)
