Some theatre each day keeps the doctor away…

This Is Where We Live

Saw This is Where We Live at Griffin tonight.  Meh.  The two characters spent a lot of the time narrating instead of conversing.  And I’m developing quite the bias against plays that do that.  It’s something about these plays that make me feel as if they’re wearing their ambiguity on their sleeves.  (And by that I mean that they don’t have much ambiguity.  Which is a very fuzzy and undefined thing to say, but I can’t be bothered expanding on it tonight.)

At least I got to sit in my favourite seat.

My goal as a writer: to entertain (in the fullest sense of the word) as many people as possible, and keep myself interested in the process too.
