Some theatre each day keeps the doctor away…

Dreams in White (Finally)

Saw Dreams in White at Griffin tonight.  Interesting, though nothing special.  ‘Twas an exercise in keeping secrets from the audience, which I turn my nose up at a bit in theatre these days.

How brittle mystery is, yes?

And no interval, either.  Not that the play is worse for that (better, probably),  but no new Australian plays seem to have an interval, except for The Secret River.  Now then, think of a classic play that doesn’t have an interval…  I can’t.  Not the truly great ones, anyway.  (Not that Shakespeare had intervals back in the day, but they were long anyway.)

225/whatever in the bookook.
