Some theatre each day keeps the doctor away…

Ovo

Saw Cirque du Soleil’s Ovo tonight – thoroughly enjoyable.  Had cupcakes in the interval with many different coloured icings on the top – food colouring, no doubt, which will have me high as a kite for the next few days, probably.  Champagne as well.  Plus before the show, and during the interval, they had some various stuff in little pie crusts – spicy pumpkin (that seems to be popular at the moment), something with beef, something with smoked salmon (didn’t have any of those).  They probably would have been nicer if it hadn’t been raining, but cold food’s never very nice in cold and wet weather.  I saw Neil Perry (chef), Lara Bingle (model), Julie Goodwin (chef of Masterchef), the lead actor from Jersey Boys, one of the actors from Summer of the Seventeenth Doll that was on at Belvoir last year…  I think that was it, or at least all I can remember.

23 lines on the play today.  That is, I started Act II – huzzah!  And perhaps more importantly, I took the river out of Milan – only had to change two lines, as I hadn’t written anything that relied on there being a river yet.  I feel much better now.

Started reading Van Gogh: The Life, though I haven’t got too far into it yet.
