Spaghetti Western Orchestra
Saw the Spaghetti Western Orchestra tonight. One of the best shows (of any kind – music/opera/theatre/etc) that I’ve seen this year. Highly recommended.
Bought Clarissa by Samuel Richardson and The Book of Disquiet by Fernando Pessoa yesterday. Or the day before. I can’t remember. My mind has gone a-wandering.
Was reading over my review of Thyestes tonight – just giving it a quick scan, reading a couple of scenes – and managed to make myself laugh quite a few times. That was nice. I think I’m almost proud of it, I am. Not that I think it has particularly long-lasting merit, but for something that I wrote rather quickly (at least I remember writing it quite quickly – maybe it took longer than I thought)… Well, it entertained me after I’d forgotten most of what I’d written.
No doubt I’m trying to boost my confidence with the play I’m writing now. Not that I need a confidence boost – I have no opinion on its artistic merit yet, being as I am in the middle of writing it. The moment I start to have an opinion is the moment I start to lose the thread of it, methinks.
