Some theatre each day keeps the doctor away…

Miscellaneous Cultural Artifacts

Watched Beyond the Fringe yesterday, with Alan Bennett, Jonathan Miller, Peter Cook, and Dudley Moore.  (They were the cast – I didn’t watch it with them next to me.)  Highly amusing.

Listened to Stoppard’s radio play If You’re Glad I’ll Be Frank.  Not as amusing as Beyond the Fringe, but it gave me a laugh or four, plus the philosophical inquiries into Time were somewhat interesting.

Also listened to Stoppard’s interview on Desert Island Discs.  Rather interesting.  I seem to be latching onto him again for some reason.  I suspect it’ll pass in a few days.

And…my mind is empty, so empty.  It’s nice to not think of anything – just like contentment is a long lasting emotion, whereas happiness and sadness are volatile, so is thinking of nothing much more stable than thinking solid or thinking despairing thoughts.
