Some theatre each day keeps the doctor away…

Tina Arena with the Sydney Symphony

Saw Tina Arena with the Sydney Symphony tonight.  Good, but nothing special.

Had a thought this morning that my distaste in plays that rely on surprise to achieve their affects (and the subsequent dulling of such effects on a second viewing) might not be so bad, as a second viewing means that there is dramatic irony that the audience can experience that wasn’t present in the first viewing.  (Not that I’ve changed my mind on surprises, though.)

Condensed two lines into one in my play.  That was the entire work towards the oeuvre I will leave behind me that I did today.  In commemoration of this, I will end this blog entry short.
